À l’extérieur comme à l’intérieur, rien ne bouge. C’est le milieu de la nuit, et un homme tente de se rendormir. Hier, il a reçu une lettre. Il ne veut pas la lire. Entre rêves, mots et bruits de la ville, il flotte, observe. Le film retrace son lent retour vers le monde extérieur, sa vie quotidienne et la fin de la nuit.

Outside and inside, nothing moves. It is the middle of the night, and a man is trying to fall back asleep. Yesterday he received a letter. He does not want to read it. Between dreams, words and the sounds of the city, he drifts and watches. The film follows his slow return to the outside world, to his daily life and to the end of the night.
